Funding allocations between regions

Every grant-making body faces the decision about how to allocate its money to the various parts of the country. It is generally accepted that such allocation should vary according to levels of need, but there is much less agreement about how to measure need and how to vary the level of the grants accordingly.

We have advised a number of grant-making bodies on such issues, including the Community Fund and the Prince’s Trust.
