Carla Ayrton is a senior researcher at NPI, where she conducts research using quantitative and qualitative methods. Her research interests include gender inequalities, differing life chances, inequalities in access to services and poverty and exclusion. Carla joined NPI in 2016. Prior to that she was an analyst at SafeLives, a national charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse. Here she worked on producing research and creating tools to help domestic abuse professionals and local services be more effective. Carla has a BSc in Geography from The University of Manchester and an MSc in Globalisation from University College London.
